NAUUP – AQUAICBAS
Aquatic Activities UPAbout
INTRO:
Created in 2005 by the Aquatic Sciences Dep./AEICBAS under the coordination of Artur Lagoá.
One year after it´s birth and on growing activities, Luis Magina shares also the coordination as well as a cooperator of the AS Dep.
Both had different starts in Scuba and freediving, from CMAS to PADI and later on both on TDI.
Moreover, the Aquatic Sciences Degree was a mutual choice and extremely good enhancement to our knowledge as well as in terms of giving to each activity that we organize a certain “plus” of information to share with those who join NAUUP.
Unlike the first years, we decided that exclusive protocols with certain schools and dive centers were less productive; public contests where 1 school and 1 center would be the unique yearly liasons that we could offer to our members and associates.
Basic Problem of that exclusiveness:
For our members to get a new certification we were tied by the winning school calendar as well as one diving center dive trips.
Therefore now we have formal agreements (non-exclusive protocols) all over the country, that enables us to organize events, activities and so on all over Portugal.
Besides Scuba, we also include Sailing, the so-called Radical activities, such as rappel, paint-ball, rafting, etc.
As far as scuba, as you may check on our Youtube Channel, we organize from “bubble maker” sessions, refresh sessions to all kinds of certification, thanks to the agreements we have with several schools and entities.
Besides that, dive trips, either local or spread out over the whole country upon request.
If you would like to join us, or request information, feel free!
Probably one of the best places for gathering info on what Portugal has to offer, considering our neutrality as basic policy.
Plus:
we publish regularly news related to:
Marine Bio, Environment and Diving
